Second day on the job. Thing's are going fantastically!! I really like the people from Holland America. Went out last night with Dennis, crew, and guy's from Holland America. Drank a little too much, but had a marvelous time. The trains we're working on are very challenging! Very tight quarter's when your trying to find pathways to run cable from one side to the other. Well I should sign off for now and get some dinner. I'm starving!!!

Well.... Two day's until departure. I'm pretty sure I've got all of my ducks in a row. I'm really starting to get excited about all of the new landscape that is in store for me. Hopefully I can get a few hikes and a little fishing in before the weather turns too terribly nasty. I received word this morning that we should be able to complete the project in 4-6 weeks, instead of the original 13 weeks they had planned on. Needless to say, I'm ecstatic that I'll be home for Andrea's B-day, Thanksgiving, Christmas etc. We'll be returning sometime in late February if everything goes as projected.
End of script

This is the first day and the first words of my blogging adventure! Thanks to the thoughtfulness and mental prowess of my daughter Kari Lyn Otto. I'm leaving next Wednesday for a thirteen week business trip to Anchorage. This will be the perfect canvas for my journal of experiences and thoughts while I'm there! More to come........
